"Scenes of a marriage" was a real masterpiece, I think the stupidity and monotony that exists in the nature of a marriage are shown in the best way,characters seem to deal with the tedious life of a couple in different ways, somehow trying to believe that everything is the way it should be,but starting from some conversation between their friends at their house ,we start to realize that the happy regular life is just a very delicate surface and start to search into characters deeply as Johan leaves the family in favor of his mistress.As covers go aside we start to understand how fears, doubts ,and even differences between characters ,have corrupted the relationship. Characters leave each other searching for other lives but being tied together they come back to each other searching for hope after a long time,it seems they go nowhere and there is no escape .Even they have choosen being together or not ,they are going down ,but probably they have learn to be peaceful without dreams and hopes.The movie was kind of very strong in transfering me the feeling of despair and I was inveloved with its subject for a while,like any other Bergman movie.
